I was backstage last night at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles and witnessed the JONAS BROTHERS perform “S.O.S.” live. Like many of you, I felt my heart drop when Joe Jonas tripped onstage at the start of their performance. I have to tell you, though, that Joe was such a rock star, bouncing right back up on his feet and giving an amazing performance. His bros Nick and Kevin were awesome as well. I’m so proud of these guys for giving JoBro fans all over the world another reason to smile!

When the guys came backstage after their performance, Joe didn’t mind what happened at all. “Just a little blood,” he smiled. Whatta trooper! The guys are having a great time on their tour with Miley Cyrus - and told me there’s another big JONAS TOUR coming up in summer 2008. I’m sure it’ll include new songs that the guys are currently writing and recording on their tour bus.

The cast of High School Musical - Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Monique Coleman, KayCee Stroh, and Ryne Sanborn - were also in attendance. The girls looked so glam last night in their sparkly party dresses. Too bad cutie Zac Efron wasn’t there. Vanessa told me he was starting production on his new movie Seventeen. I was so happy to hear that they were all coming back for High School Musical 3 and asked what they wanted to see happen in the next movie. “I want Sharpay to be prom queen!” Ashley exclaimed. Wildcats go to prom? Count me in!

There were so many celebs who hung out backstage to chat, including big winners Fergie, Carrie Underwood, and Ne-Yo - who watched Beyonce perform a bluegrass version of “Irreplaceable,” the hit song he wrote for her. He was surprised at first but still loved the country version of the song. I also spotted Chris Brown, Rihanna, and Avril Lavigne getting ready for their great performances.

BTW, leave your “Feel better” comments (and other awesome shoutouts) for Joe Jonas right here! Keep reading BOP and Tiger Beat magazines for more backstage dish, secrets, and photos of the AMAs.

Summer concert report: Wango Tango
Posted on May 14th, 2007 at 1:18 pm by Blog Girl

The summer concert season is finally here. I attended Wango Tango (presented by L.A. radio station KIIS FM) last Saturday, and it was H-O-T! My girl Fergie rocked the house with her hits like “Fergalicious.” Backstage, the lady Pea even signed a couple of BOP and Tiger Beat magazines. I think Fergie had the biggest entourage on stage, with a band, break dancers and even British palace guards. Sweet!

Kelly Clarkson also wowed the L.A. crowd with “Since U Been Gone,” “Behind These Hazel Eyes,” and her newest smash “Never Again.” The first American Idol champ definitely put on a great show.

I also met up with Gym Class Heroes. These guys are hilarious. I can’t stop singing their song “Cupid’s Chokehold.” I think it’s gonna be one of this summer’s most fun and memorable songs, don’t you?

There were other amazing singers and bands at Wango Tango, including Elliott Yamin (also from American Idol), Robin Thicke, Omarion and Pitbull. I can’t wait to see more concerts this summer and report everything back to you!
