You’ve watched the first two movies, learned all the songs and dance moves, and drooled over Zac Efron and Corbin Bleu. Now’s your chance to be a part of High School Musical 3! Auditions for dancers and extras to appear in HSM 3 are taking place next week, starting March 10th in Salt Lake City, Utah. Dancers must be formally trained, be at least 14 years old, and look like a high-schooler. The film has been given a name (though things often change the last minute in Hollywood) - High School Musical 3: Senior Year - and will find Troy (Zac), Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens), and their friends facing their final year as East High Wildcats.

It’s true! High School Musical 2 star Lucas Grabeel recorded a song titled “You Got It” and it played in Sharpay’s pink convertible. Fans loved what they heard and wanted more. “You Got It’ is finally available on iTunes (make sure to ask your parents’ permission first before purchasing any tracks) and it’s totally fun and perfect for dancing with your fellow HSM fans!

Not only did I get to interview celebs as they arrived to Teen Choice Awards last Sunday, I also got to hang out at the Backstage Creations lounge. This is where award presenters and winners like Miley Cyrus, Lucas Grabeel and Vanessa Hudgens got hooked up with really cool gifts from companies like Sanrio, Wet Seal, Guess shoes, Tiger Electronics and more. High School Musical 2 is almost here. Can you feel the excitement? The movie finally has a premiere date on Disney Channel. It airs on Friday, August 17th (8 pm Eastern and Pacific time). What a perfect night to watch with friends, family and every HSM fan you know. Hello, that’s only all of Earth’s population!!!

So what’s HSM 2 about? Well, school’s out for summer, and the East High Wildcats land summer jobs at Lava Springs country club. Troy Bolton doesn’t know, but getting a job at the club is part of Sharpay’s plot to lure him away from Gabriella. OMG!!! Of course, Sharpay is queen of the country club, where her brother Ryan is also a member. Sharpay’s plan begins to backfire when Troy gets Gabriella a lifeguard job at the same club. Drama! Other memorable Wildcats also get jobs at the club, including Chad, Taylor, Zeke, Martha, Kelsi and Jason!

The club’s Midsummer Night’s Talent Show is the biggest event of the summer. Troy and Gabriella plan to sing a duet, but not if Sharpay can stop them! More importantly, Troy faces a tough decision about his future. You can bet I’ll be watching HSM 2, with all its new songs, dances and lots of ZAC EFRON!

Hey, it is so HOT in Florida right now, whoa!

But it was even hotter today because I saw the preview for High School Musical 2! You guys, it looks soooo good. There was tons of dancing and singing, and a song about the last day of school. Totally fun. Plus, Zac looks way hot, and his hair is lighter than it has been for his role in Hairspray. I know a lot of you guys prefer his hair lighter, so there you go!

Today I’ll be hanging out with the Cheetah Girls and Brenda Song, and I’ve spent time already with Monique Coleman, Lucas, and Ashley Tisdale’s mom told us a secret that I’ll tell you later. I just found out that High School Musical: The Concert will air on May 4, 2007 on the Disney Channel. If you watched the show LIVE when it stopped in your town, you can relive all the music, the dancing and the fun from the tour cast. Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, Corbin Bleu, Lucas Grabeel, Monique Coleman and Drew Seeley will all be there!

If you didn’t get a chance to see them live, here’s what you can expect: All the hit songs from HSM plus showcases from Ashley, Corbin and Vanessa. Drew sings “Dance With Me” from the Cheetah Girls 2 soundtrack, Monique shows off the moves she learned on Dancing With the Stars, and Lucas is super cute as the show’s emcee.

I don’t know about you, but I’m going to invite my friends for a High School Musical: The Concert viewing party!

I had a great time hanging out at the red carpet and backstage at the American Music Awards. Music’s biggest stars came out for the show (held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles), from Miley Cyrus to Jesse McCartney to the cast of High School Musical. These guys are all over town this week, promoting the upcoming tour, which you got a preview of (check out yesterday’s blog)!

Miley was the first to stop and chat with us on the red carpet. She brought along her dad Billy Ray, and she looked super cute in a sparkly white dress. Right next to Miley were the Cheetah Girls. Kiely, Sabrina, and Adrienne giggled while they told us about getting ready for the big night.

Fans and even other press people on the red carpet started going wild when “Wind It Up” singer Gwen Stefani walked by. She was rushed inside, so she didn’t have time to chat. The Cheetah Girls told us they were so excited to see Gwen, one of their favorite performers. “Chemicals React” rockers (and AMA nominees) Aly and AJ greeted us with the biggest hugs ever. We asked the girls who took longer to get ready, and the verdict is in: both of them! These two are so much fun to chat with, and they looked so good in their dresses.

Cutie Chris Brown had time to do a video shout out for BOP and Tiger Beat readers. He’s such a sweetheart. Who else did we spot on the red carpet? Well, how about JoJo and Fall Out Boy right next to each other! Unfortch, JoJo was also rushed inside, but she did wave and gave us a flying kiss. Okay, it was a mission to get Fall Out Boy to do a shout-out to you guys. Mission accomplished! Pete even makes his sneering face right after. He’s so funny!

It was mere minutes before the start of the show, but the red carpet was still buzzing with celebrities. The cast of HSM finally made their way to our spot on the carpet, and they all looked sensational. Zac Efron couldn’t make it, but Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Vanessa Hudgens, Monique Coleman, and Lucas Grabeel were all there. They said it feels like a school reunion every time they all get together. They really are such close friends.

During the show, I got to go backstage and hang out in the General Press Area. This is where award winners, presenters, and performers go after stepping off the stage. I knew I was going to get some good stuff here for you. Jesse McCartney stopped by and told us he just read a script for a movie - so watch out for Jesse’s screen comeback! American Idol winners Carrie Underwood and Taylor Hicks also chatted with us backstage. They’re both so thankful for the opportunities winning Idol has given them. Stars like JoJo, JC Chasez, and Sean Paul also stopped by the Press Area. I had so much fun.
