Weekend Wrap-Up!
Posted on February 13th, 2007 at 11:40 am by Blog Girl

Hey everyone! It was definitely a crazy weekend here in Hollywood. On Friday night, we were invited to Pete Wentz’s Pre-Grammy party, sponsored by Helio. Pete had some very special guests in attendance, including Butch Walker and Panic! at the Disco’s Ryan Ross!

It’s so cool to see celebrities hang out like regular people. We headed home early because Saturday night was Clive Davis’ legendary Pre-Grammy party at the Beverly Hills Hilton. Let me tell you, there were stars everywhere! If you’re an American Idol fan, you would have been in heaven - because everyone from Taylor Hicks to Katharine McPhee to Chris Daughtry was there! Rihanna looked pretty in pink, but the Tiger Beat Look of the Night Award goes to Carrie Underwood, who was stunning in this classic black and white ball gown.

And although Friday and Saturday night were totally fun, Sunday was the best day of all! We arranged a photo shoot with the cutest new face on TV, Cory in the House’s Jason Dolley. He arrived at the studio with his lovely mom and his new guitar and couldn’t have been any nicer. From noshing on pizza to scooping ice cream cones to playing with bubble machines, it was the most fun we’ve had in a while! Jason even brought his ipod, which boasted everything from Ludacris to the Counting Crows. We were very impressed with his eclectic taste in music. After a long day of shooting, Jason stopped to sign a bunch of cool prizes for Tiger Beat and BOP readers. Be sure to keep an eye out for them in future issues! The pictures and videos came out great, too, and we can’t wait for you to see them all. Well, that’s it for now. Lots of fun stuff coming up this week, so check back often for updates!

Fall Out Boy press conference and secret show!
Posted on January 9th, 2007 at 9:21 am by Blog Girl

OMG… last Friday was a total blast! Tiger Beat and BOP were invited to a super secret Fall Out Boy press conference and concert in Torrance, California. I went to get up close and personal with the mega famous rock group! The Infinity On High hotties are headlining the 2007 Honda Civic Tour (which may be coming your way soon) and wanted to invite some very special people to share the news.

When I arrived at the secret location, I was given a VIP badge and lead inside to a roped off area. Guess where it was? Right in front of the stage! I almost died from excitement. When FOB took the stage I could barely contain myself. Patrick Stump’s voice was amazing as he belted out the bands newest single “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race.” I don’t think any band could have topped them at that moment. After playing “Dance, Dance” and “Sugar We’re Goin’ Down,” the guys revealed a one-of-a-kind Fall Out Boy Customized Honda Civic that will be given away to one lucky fan.

Oh, and guess what else happened? Pete Wentz threw a guitar pick into the crowd and I CAUGHT IT. Talk about luck! I couldn’t believe I was standing so close to the guys! Had I reached out my hand I could have touched Pete’s shoe! They were super sweet, and Pete even looked right at me so I could snap photos for you guys.

Ummm could they get any hotter? The guys never stop rocking. After a quick Q&A the guys had to hop on their bus and head to the show they were playing in a just a few hours. I can’t wait to see them again. Hope to see you at their next show!

I also took a video of FOB performing their hit “Dance, Dance,” which you will only see on this blog. I’ll have it up for you guys soon. In the meantime, leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

Pete: “No beef in 2007″
Posted on December 27th, 2006 at 2:27 pm by Blog Girl

Has Pete Wentz gone vegetarian? Nope, but the Fall Out Boy cutie did make a resolution not to have any “beef” with other bands in the upcoming year. Why did Pete make that comment? Apparently, fans of the band Avenged Sevenfold claim that a scene from FOB’s video “This Ain’t A Scene, It’s An Arms Race” (the part where guitarist Joe Trohman plays guitar on top of a casket) is a rip-off of Avenged’s “Seize the Day” video.

“I’ve never actually seen the Avenged Sevenfold video,” Pete says. “We met the guys on the Warped Tour. They have always been really nice every time we met them.Yeah, I’m trying to be beef-free. There’s no beef yet.” As you may know, Pete was involved in a sorta feud with The Killers’ Brandon Flowers for most of 2006.

So, I wanna know what YOU think. Post your comments and let me know what you think about Fall Out Boy’s new video!
