Hey everyone, I got a chance to interview Luke Benward recently and I’m so glad I did! You may know Luke from Minutemen or his most recent role playing Nicky in Mostly Ghostly. Even though he’s been on TV and movie screens, he’s just a normal 13 year old boy. Check out what we talked about!
Blog Girl: Luke! It’s so great to get a chance to talk to you! Can you tell me what the funniest thing that happen on the set of “Mostly Ghostly” was?
Luke Benward: One day, the cast and crew were ouside for lunch. We were throwing the football. I went to go pick up the ball and Sterling [who plays Max in the movie] got to it before i did and threw it at me. It hit me in the eye and everyone was laughing, including me!
BG: My goodness, that is silly! How do you deal with bullies at school - even if they’re not
bullying YOU, but you see it happening?
LB: I stick up for the person being bullied and tell the bully to stop being so mean. If I’m the one being bullied, I don’t allow the bully’s words to affect me at all. I know they are just words.
BG: Very true, Luke. What is the coolest thing you did this summer?
LB: I started working on my first CD in the studio. It’s getting ready to come out in a few weeks. I am so stoked!
BG:Wow that’s wonderful! Even though you’ve been in movies, what are some ways that you’re a “normal” 13 year old?
LB: I play football for my school. I go to a public school, hang out with my friends, go to the movie theater to see movies, do chores around my house…
BG: Any funny embarrassing moment stories you can share with us?
LB: One day at football practice, I went out for a pass and the ball was thrown high so I jumped up to catch it. my hands were too far apart so the ball went right through and hit me in the face mask!

Hi will u please tell Luke that I am like his biggest fan. I saw him at Mley’s Sweet 16 and he was really nice and I swear I like experienced Love at first sight lol. I wanna join his fan club really badly but my mom wont let me spend money on practically anything that isnt neccessary right now because we spent so much money on Mileys birthday party but that was like a dream come true for me. SO ya as I was saying I really really like Luke and I want him to know that!!!!!! I can honestly say I have been a Luke Benward fan since How to Eat Fried Worms…. haha I thought he was hilarious in that movie. If you could pass on this message to him that would be really nice. Thank you!!!!!

I’m ten years old and I think Luke is the hottest gut ever! I have pictures of him all over my room. I have pictures of him on my binder at school. He rocked in every movie he’s been in. I love Mostly Ghostly and Minutemen and How to eat fried worms. I am naming my future son after him. I used to say I’m a lunatic for Luke N’ Nick but now Nick Jonas is out of the question.
